Wallpapers: Gilmore Girls (various)

May 18, 2007 12:20

And now it's called nostalgia...

To kind of celebrate the goodness that was Gilmore Girls despite the bad moments it also had, I thought that I could post some of my wallpapers here as well. Just for fun and all, you and me and everyone else.

So, I'll only put the text here and the everything else behind the cut. For those who don't want to be spoiled because they haven't seen it all yet. Here's a list of all of them and what's on it.

1) Lorelai (Season 4)
2) Logan/Rory (Season 5)
3) Lorelai (Season 5)
4) Logan (Season 5)
5) Lorelai/Rory (Season 5)
6) Logan/Rory (Season 5)

See a trend? Anyway, I do know there are quite a few but I've been in a wallpaper-making mood lately and I need to use this 'spurt' of creative juices. Improvement is everything. :D I've sorted them according to the date I made them, meaning that the latest is #6. And I've copied the text from my website but shhh. ;) I've made some smaller preview images; to see the bigger, 1024x768 version, just click on it. Comments are love.

Lorelai: Keep Smiling

This is Lorelai in the episode The Festival of Living Art. First of all, I'm happy that the caps (my own) turned out so well, that I was able to catch her smile so nicely. I was quite satisfied with how it turned out at first but after looking at it for a while I'm not convinced anymore. I don't like one of the textures I used. I've tried something different with the text again, simple style and all.

Logan/Rory: Chance of a Lifetime

This one is from the episode You Jump, I Jump, Jack, definitely one of my favs. I've got to say I really like the result I got here. If I had to do it again, I might change the arrangement of the caps (my own) but that's it. I love the colors in this and finally a texture that compliments the whole thing. The text comes from the episode.

Lorelai: Your Cloud

Number three features Lorelai in the episode Wedding Bell Blues. Made with my own caps, I just tried to do something with them and I'm quite satisfied with the result. I'm never sure with pieces that have only one person in them and all. Still am playing around with textwork and really like the turnout here; the lyrics are from the song Your Cloud by Tori Amos.

Logan: Irresistible

I <3 my lovely Logan. :D This is from the episode Say Something. Not much to say about it. I've kept the style simple on purpose because I think the caps pretty much talk themselves. I really like how this turned out, even though I didn't really do that much. In fact, I didn't even change the coloring much as the caps (my own) already had such nice shades and all. And I couldn't resist -- am uaing my own stuff on my desktop, meaning this one.

Lorelai/Rory: Heartache

Say Something once more, with feeling. This one portrays Lorelai and Rory and their great relationship, espeically in times of need like here. I can honestly say that I'm quite proud of this one -- I like the coloring and the small and dimply text, but most of all the arrangement of the caps (with some rotating once again). The line of text is from the song Heartache Every Moment by HIM.

Logan/Rory: Dance with Me

Last but not least at all. From the episode Wedding Bell Blues. I'm not really happy with the arrangement and blendunf but otherwise I think it's a nice piece; I like the coloring here, too. I've left the smaller text parts on purpose this tiny as it just didn't look nice otherwise in my mind. The lyrics used here are from Debelah Morgan's Dance With Me.
