.........life. should be all peaches and creme, but as most people notice, it most certainly is not. ok, unless u have been in a coma for the past week, we just had another hurricane. for most people, they didnt lose power at all, so they had fun. i on the other hand lost power for over 12 hours. and let me tell u, being stuck in a house with no ac, no fan, no entertainment, and nothin on the small black and white hurricane tv but hurricane reports can tend to drive a person crazy. so, like i said, i lost power for over 12 hours, out at about noon, and it dodnt come back on till like 1:30 a.m., and i was already in bed at the time, and the noise of all the power comin back on, and the lights in my room woke me up, so i was not too happy (im never too happy when i get woken up before 9 in the morning, which should tell u something about me wakin up in the morning for school). but, i guess monday kinda made up for it. i guess the only good thing was that during the power outage we could still eat like normal, cause we have this small propane grill thing so we could cook like we would on a stove. most people would say that they ate like pb&j for lunch and dinner. i think its kinda funny that i get to say that i got to eat bacon and eggs for breakfast and fried chicken(thats right i said fried chicken) for dinner. ok, so now im done with my hurricane venting, now its time for my computer/dad venting. ok, so if u read my previous post, u know that we finally updated our computer to xp form 98. well, a coupla days after we finally get it all up and running, my mom calls and says she needs this picture for something and she forgot to bring it to work with her. so, i check to see if the scanner is installed, and it isnt. so, i call my dad to get a walkthrough on how exactly to set up and install the scanner, cause he always tells me that he hates it when i go and do that kind of thing by myself. well, i get to the part when it actually trys to put the software on the computer, and it says that our scanner is not compatible with xp. later that night, my dad figures out that the printer is not compatible with xp either. so what does he do, he goes out and buys a scanner/printer/copier so that we can have one i guess. well, that all goes fine and dandy, until about 2 days later, when he notices that the cd burner isnt compatible with xp either(he wasnt specific about whether it was the software or the hardware that wast compatible) so what does he do, takes xp off the computer and puts 98 back on. AHHHHHHHH! that was sooooo retarded, if he was actually thinkin, he would have realized that the cd burner wasnt the most important thing for a computer. he would have also realized that puttin 98 back on the computer was also a really dumb thing to do cause he is always bitchin bout how the computer is all slow, and 98 runs like a snail compared to xp. so, overall, my dads brownie points have gone down, way down. ok, so thats the end of my ranting.
ok, so now its time for the word of the day.
mitigate- to make or become less severe
