(no subject)
ohmygod i'm back!
i would say "by popular demand" but that would definitely be a lie. It was suggested that I start writing here again, and at first I was all "nooooo that is so two years ago" and then I started feeling all "I love the sound of my own voice", which is a totally hideous thing to think so I abandoned the idea again, and then I realized "omg! BOTD/SOTD!", so here I am!
(note to self: try to abandon the run-on sentence before earning English degree)
To be perfectly honest, one of the main reasons I'm writing tonight is because of the ever-malicious SummerInsomnia which always rears its ugly little head at the absolute worst of times. Take today for example: waitressing shift was scheduled from 11 to 4, and because of the exhaustion caused by lack of sleep (which apparently copious amounts of caffeine can't even help) it ended up being one of the longest of my career. The second the replacement waitress showed up and the clock struck 4 I dashed home, stripped off my uniform and crashed on my bed, only to be awoken 5 minutes later by my boss calling, telling me that she had scheduled me wrong and I was actually supposed to stay until close that night. She told me to come back to work and proceeded to yell at me for not checking with her first to make sure that she hadn't made a mistake on my schedule.

long story short, I was clocked out for a full hour, all of which was spent travelling to and from work. Needless to say, by the time I finally punched out at 10PM I was so bloody exhausted I could barely stay awake as my dad drove me home. I jumped in bed as soon as I got home and BANG!... SummerInsomnia strikes again. the bastard.
Oh well. Despite the stressful job, lack of playtime, and summerinsomnia, I'm actually having a really good summer. Thinking about Dalhousie takes up 85% of my time and I absolutely love it.
I'm heading back to bed now, but I'm thinking of starting this thing up again. we'll see....
for now I'll leave you with my SOTD (Walking With a Ghost by Tegan and Sarah..... hardcore) and BOTD (Zeppelin baby! Finally!)
