What a Wally!
I have just staggered downstairs to admire the results of last night's hard decorating slog in daylight! I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I have cut in round the coving and edges of the ceiling with what now appears to have been a white vinyl silk emulsion, but opened a new tin of vinyl MATT to roller the ceiling with.
Of course at eight o'clock at night you can't see the difference, but in the cold light of day all is revealed. I did look at the tins before starting but the first tin was an old one and the outside obscured by drips so you can't read the exact type of white paint, and I used that up first.
Well thank goodness I didn't do half the ceiling with it. I just have to cut in around the lights and edges again with the matt. *heavy frustrated sigh*
