Make-up Challenge #2 Answer!
So most of you had NO problems with this one! The (obvious) answer was, of course, Bayonetta!
So nothing special about my foundation- just the usual. I'm pretty pale right now (which is weird for me in May), so I didn't feel the need to lighten my foundation.
This look was all about the eye and lip color!
The lip color was surprisingly difficult to achieve! I thought it would work with just a neutral lip with sheer gloss, but it didn't look right at all. So after wiping off my failure, I applied a shimmery taupe eyeshadow over my lips with my finger, then glossed on top of it. And it STILL wasn't the right shade, so I had to go in with MORE taupe and gloss! Some people HATE doing this, but I think it's much better than combining 50 different shades of lipstick that never make the right color, anyway. The mole is black liquid eyeliner, for the record! Looking back, I wish I'd used eyeliner pencil because Bayonetta's beauty mark kind of has softer edges.
The eyes I started with a Ben Nye paint pot in Barely Nude (which is pale beige with a light pearl frost), then used a metallic shimmery pale blue on the lid, shimmery purple in the crease, fading to shimmery lavender under the brow bone (I used my $20 ULTA make-up kit, otherwise I'd be more specific). I also used a shimmery champagne shadow in the inner corners of the eyes, though I should have used an angled brush and put it on a bit more precisely like Bayonetta's design. I DID use that angled brush (wet) to draw on my eyebrows with black shadow, though. Then a little bit of pencil liner in the upper and lower waterline, and a long streak of liquid black liner that sweeps outward and up. Then mascara.
...Do you guys think I should take progress pictures rather than just post after shots and talk about it?
