“I hode you.”

Thank God I fell asleep on the couch at 8:30 last night. I slept on the couch from 8:30 to 10:30, went upstairs and slept another hour. I had no idea how much I was going to appreciate that sleep until Rosemary woke up at 11:30. If I remember correctly (and my memory is a little foggy), she was awake until 3:30. Unhappily awake from 11:30 - 2:30. Then happily awake from 2:30 - 3:30, then happily asleep until 5:30. Then unhappily awake again.

I really can’t blame her. She was hungry (she ate dinner at 3:30pm and didn’t want to eat again), I think she had a tummy ache, and she kept crying, “I hode you, I hode you, I hode you.” She’s been very clingy to Joel and/or me (me when I’m there, Joel when I’m not) lately. The poor little pumpkin has had a really crazy schedule lately and I don’t blame her. We decided not to take her to ECFE this morning because we really think she’s been abandoned enough this week. She did great, though. She did great with my mom on Monday and okay with Sarah on Tuesday. I hope she does good again with Sarah tomorrow. I think it’s a good sign that we were looking at pictures on iPhoto last night and Rosemary got excited when she saw pictures of Sarah. When she saw pictures of her Nana, she’d start to cry. :-( She misses her a lot.

It seemed like another morning for coffee, so I stopped at Caribou on the way to work. I’m slowly forcing this latte down my throat - they did something terribly, terribly wrong with it and it does not taste good. Does not taste good at all. In fact, I almost cried about it. So that should tell you how rough my night was last night. :-/

On a positive note, Rosemary got the most awesome package from our friends over at *oh, pish posh!* yesterday. She and I both squealed in excitement while looking through all the beautiful outfits, dresses, and shoes. I love me some hand-me-downs, and these are top notch. There was a pair of tennis shoes in there that Rosemary liked so much she started crying - they could not be on her feet fast enough. She wore them all over the house saying, “New shoes! New shoes!” (Uh, I don’t know where she got that from ...)
