Good 'ol Memory Lane

May 26, 2007 11:45

I'll admit it. Before I was happily married and completely, 100% stopped thinking any other guys in the world are attractive (cough, cough), I used to drool over Sting. I thought he'd probably want to marry me one day - or at least serenade me in front of an audience of millions.

That was before I realized that not all rock stars are interested in awkward preteens with bad perms and braces.

Nonetheless, I remained a fan and The Police will always happily transport me back to many good memories. For example, "Roxanne" will always bring me back to lunch in my high school cafeteria. "Every breath you take," reminds me of good friends playing as the backup band for our principle during a welcome back to school rally. These friends were not the "school rally" type, so this is quite a memory for me.

Every time a police song comes on the radio, I have to crank it up and belt it out. That is why I'm so excited for the new police cd! It's full of old police hits and I feel that I need it.
