You should realize that I am a working class tomboy from a ghetto. Today is the only day in the entire year that I can use the phrase "do you know who my father is?" to a bouncer and get me and my friends into an exclusive "club". It was exciting. Go me being a Mummer legacy

that's cool that your dad is (back) in the string bands too. It is a lot of fun (most of the time). This year kinda sucked for Uptown (my band) though we finished 8th (I know, I know it's not bad at all) but last year we finished 5th so we were hoping, and this year the judges screwed us in costumes. I did like Pennsport's music and such, they did sound pretty damn good considering. Ha, a few of us at Uptown (and elsewhere) noticed a few similarities between Pennsport's drill, costumes, etc and our own from the past two years...it was kinda funny actually. I guess we are a band that likes to be watched, lol.

This parade sucked though in my opinion. It was just horrible being postponned 3 hours and being rushed by the city once on the street blew. It also sucked playing for like no one at certain areas on Broad Street.

But I am glad that you had a lot of fun, Mummers is a fun and friendly atmosphere (most of the time)! And the guys of Fralinger are just f**king amazing, great musicians, drillers, and just a really great bunch of guys.
