This past weekend was wonderful. With all the craziness looming around the band, school, the holidays, and everything else, it was nice to take a break.
Wednesday night Kevin had practice so I went to Mimi's for dinner with Sue and then went back to her place to dye my hair a ridiculous red color. I was a tomato. I am so glad I finally reconnected with a friend down here that is from up north: we understand each other.
Thursday, Kevin and I watched the Macy's parade and then went to Kevin's Aunts house for the rest of the day. It was so nice to be with Kevin's family...they are the best. Dinner was awesome and the whole day was a lot of fun. We stayed the night at Kevin's parents house. PLUS, Harmony is going to be in NH, when Kevin and I will be! Sledding for the whole family!
Friday, Kevin's mom Lynn and I went shopping and got breakfast. We came home to grab Kevin, pack the car, and headed to Chiefland. We picked up lunch along the way and spent the night relaxing, watching movies, making an awesome fire for smores, took a rather nice nature walk, and of course spent time under the stars. Lovely!
Saturday meant Bar-B-Q Bills for breakfast...we really took in the redneck atmosphere...we went to a flea market which was absolutley histerical. My only purchase was some mini sugar donuts. They were quite yummy. After the flea market craziness we went to Dakotah Winery, which was awesome! I tried all of the wines and it was just beautiful. We went to the Lighthouse for dinner, which was amazing...the best seafood! :) We came home and watched the Davinci Code, which we had seen before, but was glad that I saw again.
Sunday we got up, packed everything, cleaned, went for breakfast and then drove back to Kevin's parents house. We made cookies and awesome Ham soup...ordered some pizzas, and spend the day in watching the Bills and Lightning games. THEY BOTH WON! YAY!
I am so thankful for Kevin and his family. They are the best!
PS. The hair is now brown, no worries! :)
