Gaaaaah, I have to go to bed, only slept three hours in the last, uh... 30. Dang.
First of all, was I totally imagining the little theme running through both of these eps that Eliot is walking around more beaten up than the others are noticing? The nose-bandage-from-nowhere in ep 3, and then a lot of little shots of holding his ribs and looking uncertain about taking on the guards in ep 4? I'm recalling (need to rewatch) a moment where Nate whips off the usual 'and Eliot will take care of the guards' part of the plan, and I swear there was hesitation from Eliot. Hee, fanfic tropes creep into canon XD Who doesn't love a good 'Eliot is secretly hurt way worse than the team realizes' fic? Not this girl, I tell ya!
Second, omg, Parker. Ep 3 was just. Fantastic. (Heh, and such a nod to the Eliot/Parker shippers. "Boyfriend" indeed. XD *can already hear the keyboards clacking* ... *waits for fic, because nothing with Eliot in it is a bad thing*
More ep 3 - yeah, that's right, Hardison, just because Eliot's not a hacking genius doesn't mean he's stupid. He has good ideas. Keep up with the class. :P
Ep 4 - okay, the wire rims are way sexy, but I have a strange affection for Eliot's big dorky black plastic glasses-of-conning. ♥
Also ep 4... Hardison planning for the future. For his own team. Which would obviously not include Nate (one assumes he'll do this until he 'retires' or gets himself killed, and he doesn't share the leadership mantle well AT ALL) but... also apparently wouldn't include Eliot. Because Hardison plans to break off while the Leverage team is still going and Eliot is Property of Nate? Or because he assumes by the time he'd be starting his own crew Eliot would be too old (or too physically damaged, all those beatings take a toll) to do what he does now? [ETA: ...no, as I recall (haven't rewatched yet, but slept on it), Hardison had a guy in mind for his hitter, which provoked Eliot to put on a show... hmm.] Or is there trouble in sibling rivalry/sexual tension paradise? I'm getting a vibe that Hardison is falling into the 'underestimating Eliot' camp... SOMEBODY write that, please? [ETA: Hardison is always the wise and understanding one in fic, it seems... I'd like to see him being a jerk for once XD]
...and, okay, I'm pretty sure we just got age-stamps for both Parker and Hardison? I'm not remembering if we got a precise timeframe on Parker (there was a 12 in there somewhere, but did we get a second number reference? argh, need to rewatch, but need sleep!!) but Hardison played the violin at 14 ten years ago = 24, pretty darn clearly. ...that's a bigger age gap between him and Eliot than I imagined (assuming (per Rogers) that Eliot's pretty close to Christian's age - Happy 36th, Christian!). Could swear Rogers pegged Hardison and Parker as late twenties at some point on his blog, but whatever. I like canon details!! I would totally read up on their astrological signs if we got birthdays. Oooh, but birth year will tell me Chinese zodiac...
...and, we end on Nate pissing everybody off so they leave him all alone in the bar. OR DO THEY. Never saw Eliot leave. HA! *snags off-screen scene opportunity for fic*
Randomly - so now Nate cooks, too? So... he and Eliot could, potentially, make dinner together. Then play some chess. Drink some beers. While discussing Eliot's bansai-trimming experience. I'm just sayin'.
Okay, bed now. But yay for new eps!!
