My friend Ken is in the Marines. He sent me this email today:
Hey Katie,
I will not be writing for a while, and i will not be coming home when i was supposed to, for reasons I am sure you can guess. I wanted to let you know that I consider you a great friend, and that I am sure that you will do great things with your life. I really wish that I hadn't been such a
timid kid and asked you out, its one of the greater regrets of my life thus far. I hope everything stays well while I can not talk to you, and I will write as soon as I can.
