So I'm sitting in my friend's apartment in Chicago right now.  This trip has been a pretty spectacular time, I ahve to say it has thus far met if not exceeded my expectations.  The only thing that I can think to complain about is the quality of sleep.  I don't get too much and the beds I have been sleeping on aren't exactly high quality.  I did get an actual mattress last night, however I was woken early by the sunlight streaming through the window and am now awake much earlier than I intended to be.  Also, Scott called and I talked to him for awhile which also makes me awake.  Therefore, I decided to hop onto the internet and bust off a short note to all of my LJ friends who I'm sure have been patiently waiting for my next post.  (Sorry it's taken so long friends)

Xmas was good for me.  I got a printer, which I'm very excited about.  It will make this semester much easier.  I won't have to bust a nut to rush to the computerlabs on campus before class to print something off just to find that the printers there aren't working.  Also, I will be able to print off pictures right at home.  That thought makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Scott came to Ubly and met my parents.  It actually went a lot better than I thought it would.  Dad said that he likes Scott a lot better than any of my past boyfriends, even Joe!  But I suppose it's because they have a lot of the same interests.  I don't think they stopped talking the entire time we were there.  It's nice to see a bond like that between my father and my boyfriend.

I went to Second City last night.  It's a comedy club here in Chicago that a lot of the SNL cast members got their start at.  We saw pictures on the wall of Chris Farley, Gilda Radner, Rachel Dratch, Tracy Morgan and tons more.  It will be interesting to see if any of the ensemble that I saw will be part of SNL someday.  It was a really good show, I recommend it!  Very funny!

Ok, I think that's all for now.  Have a safe and Happy New Year!  xxoo
