Three Times a Charm.
Life has been just swell. I have heard from all but 1 law school. I can honestly say I had a lot of surprises. Schools I thought I had no chance in hell of getting into accepted me, and a few I thought were certain to take me actually waitlisted me. And yes, a couple told me to go find another school to study at. All in all, I am very pleased with the outcome. Of course that doesn’t mean I’ve made a decision yet. I have narrowed the playing field however. I have deposits down at three schools, in three very different locations. As it stands though, right now I am looking more towards picking the school right on the water verses the school in the country’s capital.
It’s very odd how things work out. When I first started this process I was going to either stay right here in western mass or move back to Boston. Even though both of those things are still possible, I move more and more away from those options each and every day.
And the more I move away from those options, the more I ponder what I will be leaving behind: friends, relationships, memories.
It’s scary to leave things you care so much about. The bottom line is that right now at this point in my life, I do not have a ring on my finger or a mortgage to pay. And unless I have either of those things I am completely mobile. Without those things I can still “fly the coupe” when the timing is right.
I haven’t decided for sure. But, it is looking like the timing is now.
