Regret in itself is not a logical concept. It simply means to feel sorrow or remorse for a previous action, but everything we do is done because it is what we think is best with the knowledge we have at that point. We regret things later on only when we have some new knowledge or an experience that has caused us to change our minds. However, if one were to go back and “relive” that moment that they feel regret over, they would act in exactly the same way if they were under the same conditions because they would know and understand the situation just as they did before.

At what point does the pain of a relationship outweigh the satisfaction reaped? If two people were to spend one day together and have an amazing time but then spend three weeks apart afterwards and be completely miserable, was the one day of pure bliss worth the three weeks of complete misery?
