"oh wait, they're about to rock"
Thoughts of High school came back as the bass drum lead me to swayin', bobbin', and rockin'. I went to my first concert sense i can't remember when and it was amazing. We saw Rogue Wave and Nada surf and this girl with the voice of a goddess. Rogue Wave was perfect, mellow, but a toe tapper at that. When they played California i had chills. Once they ended nada surf came up, and although i go through so many phases with that band, They satisified my soul for the moment. What i love about them, simple lyrics, but captures my high school experiences. Energetic, to fulfill the experiences. I remember driving from Skyview and Fort Vancouver during lunch breaks and having "popular" on repeat and trying to time turns around corners to the beginning of the chorus. When they played blonde on Blonde Last year came rushing back to me when i was facing certain challenges and i just wanted to ignore them all. that song brought me comfort. Just a happy kid took me back junior summer high school. i tried seeing them back then, now i wish i had. Anyways. all in all, a satisying concert. I hope i can't make it to sasquatch. it's labor day weekend, and that's my mother's birthday. but the concerts go for three days....maybe, just maybe i could squeeze it in there. anyways, i have some stuff i have to do!
