It's 12:27 AM, do you know where I am?

Hello intrepid readers,

In the past two weeks, I have witnessed interesting activity in: New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Washington and California.

California, you may ask? It's another story for another day.*

Presently, I have achieved the loading, payment or delivery of my half of the house to the new city in Washington. I am currently engaged in cleaning and packing my sweetheart's California house to get all of his stuff packed and paid for and delivered. But I have two weeks to do it, and I am enjoying the opportunity to move my person and exercise full range of motion (by joining up with my old boating team like I'd never left. This is about as glorious and painful as you might imagine.)

Interesting note: I remember being alarmed by how light my eyes were when my skin got really tan. I was right to be worried, as I developed a bunch of new and large freckles (well, now that I'm old,** I believe they are called "sun damage" or "sun-related age spots", but I prefer "freckles") on my face, but now that I'm here and only lightly tan, I think my eyes are striking and sort of pretty.

Coming up on this month's national travels: islands, PODS, road trip with a cat, California, Oregon, Washington, and HOME.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I think I should go and stretch or something.

*No, really, a picspam of the whole trip will be posted... eventually. I don't know if I'm up for it today.

**Thank you for the birthday wishes, by the way. I had a lovely day with no driving in it!
