Notting Hill, Tea, and Hyde Park

Hi Everybody! Today was my last Saturday in London, and it was a really great day. Amy and I went to Portobello Road in Notting Hill this morning for the outdoor markets. I was really good and only bought one thing but it was really fun to browse. Notting Hill is such a pretty area and I never go there even though it is not very far away. After that I met Caitlin and her friend who is visiting and Jenn, Westie, and Westie's friend who is visiting for tea at the Orangery at Kensington Palace. I have been meaning to go for awhile and have never gone even though it is so close. It was so much fun! I got lemon and ginger tea, and a scone, and some carrot cake too! Everything was delicious and the Orangery is so pretty. After that we walked over to The Serpentine (lake in Hyde Park) and rented paddle boats. I was in the boat with Jenn and we had so much fun just paddling around. The lake is so pretty and you would never feel like you are in the middle of this massive city except for the fact that you can see a few buildings. It was such a gorgeous day too, perfect for being outside. Now I'm back in my room and am going to go out with Jenn and Westie in a bit to enjoy my last Saturday night in London! -Katie
