Work/laundry/Zoobar
Hi Everybody! Today I had work, and I was sad to find out that one of the other interns (one I actually like) got another internship offer so she is leaving after tomorrow. I think she wasn't too happy working on the database and though I am not thrilled to be working on it either, it is an important project for the business and once I commit to something I like to follow through. Work was fine though, pretty much same as usual. After work I did my usual beginning of the week grocery shopping (I buy the same things each week - pretty boring!) and then I went a did laundry, which was made more fun by the fact that I brought my computer with my and watched the latest Grey's Anatomy (ok does everyone have to sleep together on that show?) Then I came back and had dinner and went to Zoobar with Alyssa, Amy, and Christina. Zoobar is a bar in Leicester Square that a lot of students on the program go to and apparently it is cheap on Tuesdays. It really wasn't though because we had to pay a 5 pound ($10) cover charge. Also this girl went with us who works with Amy and it turns out that she is the reason that my dorm has to have a 24 hour security guard and no guests after midnight because she brought home some 35 year old guys who wouldn't leave and had to be removed by force! So that was interesting, she was nice but a bit promiscuous shall we say. We didn't love the atmosphere there but ended up going upstairs which was much nicer so it was a fun time in the end. After that we took the Tube back and got snacks at Tesco which is a little grocery store that is open 24 hours a day and is right across the street from our Tube stop. I am really going to miss 24 hour convenience stores when I go home, especially in NH where nothing is open late at all! So it's late and I'm off to bed, good night! -Katie
