Here's today's Target pickup line:
**I was putting a cart of returns back**
cashier walking to break room: hey, what are you looking for?
me: where the honey goes.
cashier: i've got your honey right here!
that's the best one out of recent lines. i've actually been rather disappointed in the lines lately...i knew i shouldn't have switched to my new khaki pants.
or maybe its all part of this huge change that's happening. target isn't as cool this break...people have come and gone and we've kind of lost the whole 'team' atmosphere. which is too bad, because that's what made me love my job. now all have to look forward to is thinking of excuses to not be cashier trained and seeing how many items i can put back without scanning it to see where they go.
other things are changing too. the other day i ate cherry tomatoes in my spinach salad without cringing. AND i can only fall asleep with the tv on. i also manage to sleep until noon...but i've always been a morning person.
you know what though? maybe this 'huge change' isn't real. change is always happening...but as i get older its just easier to see what's changing and look at things in retrospect. the only huge change i can see happening in the near future is family change. regardless, its up to me to live it, and live it good.
