Bonafide hustler makin' my name
Mose is asleep in my bed right now. Somehow this comforts me. I love having him around - no matter the reason, the time, the anything. I stick by my earlier evaluation of Morris Sara - he is like a Teddy Bear.
I hear much uproar in the suite, I love that the Raub 3 Ladies are not dull. It makes college that much more fun/interesting.
This is very elementary.... arghhhhh.
What I should be doing is reading The Secret Life of Bees, and writing. I wish I was writing again. I wish I had some inspiration. I wish I could spin yarns and drop dimes of intrigue. I wish my words were as evocative as they were.
I wish I would stop wishing and start doing. Wishing only gets one so far.
The NIU excursion showed me/taught me so many things.
I thought about my dad and Morris, and how they are so much more than where they started from. I began to think about how much influence people's origins have on their being, and how much influence it should have. I can't say as I know. Not that it would matter if I did know. I am no authority. What is true for me is not for those down the hall, those down the street, those across the pond... I believe, as usual in my wishy-wash way, that it is relative. For some, their beginnings are so crucial to how they should be. Their life at home is a parable for how they should continue. For others, the same applies in that their parable is how they should not be.
That is so blatantly obvious Carsella.
Mose raised the point that when we look back at our LJs in another five years, will we be as disgusted with it as we are looking back at our junior high entries? I said no. I'm pretty sure about that.
College has made me a heavier sleeper. This was a goal of mine I'm glad I accomplished.
I hope Morris gets his website up and running. I think it would do his ego wonders. And I think he has the "intel" to do so. I'm so proud of him. Not to be a condescending jerkus, but I am. He's so smart, so responsible, so kind and understanding. I don't know how he juggles it all. I'm very lucky - not everyone is so blessed to meet such exceptional people as the ones I know. In a past life I must have endured an arkload of pain in a past life to have this much wondrousness (not a word I don't think) in my life.
