Lions and Tigers and Bears....
OH MY!!!
I got to go to the zoo today with my mom. I've been wanting to go since I moved down to Miami, and this is the first time I've really gotten the chance. I really enjoyed it. I love seeing "wild" animals... however wild you consider a zoo. We got to see two antelopes about to get their thang on, but we decided to move on before it got really yucky. There were a bunch of different types of antelopes and gazelles which I thought were all pretty neat. They remind me of deer. The tigers were beautiful but were mostly hiding in the shade which was somewhat of a bummer. The giraffes and the zebras were awesome. There were even these humongous tortoises, HUGE! And the elephants were very dirty, but neato, and the rhinos and hippos didn't want to come out of the water. It was super duper hot out there today. Me and mom stopped at all of the misters to cool off. Oh yeah, and the chimps and gorillas were just funny. We looked at one gorilla through the glass and tapped on it (the only window that didn't say "do not tap on window") and he gave us the funniest look like we were completely interrupting his leaf meal. The Australian exibit was a little disappointing b/c there was only one koala bear (cute though) and three small kangaroos.. also two little singing dogs (they didn't sing though). I guess I just figured it'd be a bit more exciting. Over all though it was a great way to spend the day. It was hot, but that's better than rainy. We got to see just about everything in three hours. Mom was a little bored of it b/c she brought my cousin before but we still got to spend time together which was really good. And afterwards she bought me a slice of cherry cheesecake from burger king. Delicious!!
So I've got the majority of my stuff out of the old apartment and it's slowly all getting into it's place at the new place. I'm hoping to get my fish tank up and running tonight so that I can get me a new fishy this weekend. That reminds me though that I need to go buy some filters. I think the best thing would be for me to go with a fresh water fish this time so that he has a better chance at life. Everything seemed to be going so well with Knightro though so I'm not sure what went wrong. Hmm... anyway... I stink from getting all sweaty at the zoo so it is time for me to freshen up and hit the store and get some things straightened up around here. Catch y'all on the flip side.
