today is my 16th birthday!
Well, happy birthday to me! Today is my sweet 16th and I'm spending it with my bestest buds! We're gonna watch movies all day today, well, the most we can fit lol. Anyways, I have to finish talking about G Burg (I Might have to spread it through ever journal entry lol)
Tuesday Julie was feeling sick. She had a huge headache and missed the second class session. She burst out into tears and I felt so bad for her. Gabe and I were anxious to go back to her to see how she was doing (she was at the dorms). When we came back from lunch, I saw Julie and asked how she was doing. Then Cara took us to the Bullet Hole so Julie could get some lunch. She came back for the other class sessions and everyone missed her (especially me and Gabe). That day I believe we went into town again, I'm not sure what we did every night...Now I remember, Venessa (the director) rented The Poltergist and we watched it in Tom's room. Now, one of the rules was that the door has to be open when boys and girls are in the same room, but they broke that rule by closing the door just so it would be dark in there. well Darren found out and then we weren't aloud on each other's floors (which sucked anus) lol. Anyways, we watched Poltergist and made fun of it the whole time. And supposidly there is a ghost down in the lanudry room. Kc and Diego went there to see and the laundry machine went off. Kc got so scared but Diego was like "it was stupid, nothing happened." But everyone was soo afraid to go to sleep (except for me because I actually slept better than the first night). lol.
Wesnesday was a bad day for me. I started feeling homesick, and I couldn't take it. I broke out into tears in the end of the second session. And I got to go to the dorms and sleep through lunch and the 3rd session. Now, I feel really bad that I did that, but I needed sleep! But when I was in my room, Erin and Cara did the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me! I was laying in my room crying when I heard music coming in from the other side of my door. I recognized it as Two Of Us (the Beatles' song) that we were listening in Class the other day. The other day, Erin and Cara brough the I Am Sam soundtrack and were listening to it, and that always reminds me of home (we play everything and anything that's Beatles). And when I heard this music from the hallway, I cried some more. I walked over to the door and saw a piece of paper folded in half with my name on it. It said the plainest but most meaningful message ever.
"We hope that you have a good rest. Enjoy the tunes, you RAWK!

With those simple words I opened the door and i saw a small cd player with small speakers plugged in. And I looked out and saw Erin and Cara walking towards me with a plug in so the battery wouldn't die. I caught them in the act of being nice. lol. But that was the nicest thing anyone has done for me. I really do miss them!
Thursday was any normal day, except now we could walk around without a counsoler, which was awesome! the first thing that the Tres Companeros did was wander around town (of course the Hard Bean) lol. There were different activites we had to do at the end of the day, like little things called Battle of the Classes where the classes would battle against each other. Which was fun, I remember this one game we had to play where we had to dress up in clothes they gave us, run down the sidewalk until you get to a place to write your teammembers names in, run over to a place where you have to sing it's a small world, then run to another place where you have to do the funky chicken (which I got all funky in lol) and then you had to spin like a ballerina. lol. It was soo much fun! Jules did it with soo much pride!!
Friday, everyone just chilled. It was easy going day, of course there were classes, but after friday was the weekend. That night we went to a Carnivale in town which was soo much fun! I hung out with Mike, Chanda, Rose, and Diego. We didn't trust the rides there because the people running them couldn't count and the rides didn't look that safe. We went on one ride, which was fun because the guy running it was comepletely crazy!! lol. We did play a lot of games. I got Diego to win me two stuffed animals (even though I helped pay and help him play lol). Diego also won a pimp hat which was soo funny!! He would walk around and say "ya know, before I had this hat people would look at me funny, but now I feel like I'm part of the crowd! I feel like one of them" *You couldn't go anywhere in the crowd without seeing a mullet if that gives you any hint of what it's like lol* And at one point Diego, rose, and Chanda were standing there waiting for Mike and Jules to get back, when Diego says "It smells like...." and he takes a big wiff of the air and continues, "...lesbians" It had to be the funnest thing I had heard the whole trip there! I think we laughed about it for a good 10 minutes lol. Later on in that night, Diego and the gang won me a Care Bear, and I asked for the one with a rainbow on it, and the carnie who gave it to me I think was drunk because he asked me if I was a lesbian (cause of the rainbow). But he did go on about nothing the whole time lol. At 10:45ish the fireworks display started going and we were sitting on a towel I brought. It was fun there, I sat with Tom, Gabe, Jules, Mike, Anne, Rose, Chanda, and Diego. Tomorrow was going to be a trip to Hersey Park and everyone had to chose groups. Well, I didn't know about these groups until people signed me up into their groups. I was put into two different groups (the people in the group put me in there) and I had to chose which group I wanted. I had to chose between Anne's group (Mike, Tom, Diego) or Gabe's (Rose, Chanda, Jules). We all ended up just hanging out together at the park anyways. We were just one giant group lol. At the carnivale, Anne won a fish and named it Tom after Tom lol.
The next day we woke up early so we could get to Hersey Park before the crowd. Hersey park was sooo much fun! But one of my friends fainted in line! She was standing in line for Storm Runner but she just fainted. She said before she fell that everyting turned black and she couldn't see, and she just fell. Diego was standing right next to her, and tried to catch her, but he missed. Jules dragged her out of the line and that's where I came in. I comforted her the whole time, until perimedics came in and she was sent to First Aid. Everyone wouldn't leave her side until she was okay. But Diego felt really bad because he didn't catch her. I kept telling him that it wasn't his fault that she fainted. She didn't eat breakfest this morning and she took a lot pills for her alergies. That was bound to happen. After that we went on a rafting ride. Diego was dry almost the whole time until the end when there were waterfalls the raft went through. It was sooo funny watching Diego's reaction. He was jumping up and down in his seat freakin out!! I was laughing so hard at him! lol. After that we went on this spinning thing to dry ourselves off. After that was lunch, and then more rides. Everyone was soo tired by teh end of teh trip that no one wanted to go to this little music festival that was happening in Harrisburg. There was this mile long bridge that stood between teh bus and the festival that we needed to cross. It was terrible! I walked beside Diego the whole time as we both complained how bad it was! lol. We ended up walking back and forth across teh bridge at least 4 times. I was sooo tired I wanted to die! Jules fell asleep on the bus on Gabe's arm, and I just leaned against the bus with my mouth open. I was waaay too tired to close my mouth lol. Everyone slept soundly that night. We all knew that tomorrow we could sleep in. YAY!
