coffee
So, I started my new job and am loving it. Especially since Monday afternoon after 1pm I'm free to do as I please...no work, no class. So I've decided that's going to be "me-date" time. It is time for me to do as I please. Read for fun, doodle, daydream.....whatever I want in a coffee shop. I wanted to go to a non-chain one aka not Starbucks, etc. However, I have NOT had luck with that. Last week I went to one in Mountain Brook but ended up going over the mountain twice and circling back to a Joe Muggs out of frustration. Awful coffee. Could've been the last of the pot or I didn't put in enough sugar or......something like that. But the only thing it had going for it was that it was hot. Today I was going to go another one but my directions failed me so I went to Starbucks wehre I pleasantly read for two hours and then got the most delicious concoction accompanied by pleasing conversation. Maybe chains aren't that bad after all....they at least have reliable reputations for their taste even if their prices are more than necessary. I see a very nice beginning of a friendship with my Monday me-dates. At times they may include others but right now they're nice the way they are.
