Uberflashbacks

Aug 07, 2006 20:32

So I'm sitting here at the library, and behind me there are two guys getting trained for library work.  Flashbacks just keep happening, and I'm having to stop myself from typing about the horrors of shelving scores, or shelfreading atlases, or crossreferences those damned surplus periodicals.

I've loved my jobs, I really have.  Honestly!

Also, by the way, I'm still really loving my laptop.  In case you were curious.  Not that you care.

Language is such a lovely thing, isn't it?  I mean, unless I was unfortunate enough to only have one LJ friend, it can be assumed from context that the "you" two sentences ago was meant in the plural.  But you have to know some things about me in order to assume that, including the fact that more than one person has me on their friendslist, and that I don't have an imaginary friend who I'm typing all these entries to as letters.  When you have the context for it, stuff like that is useful shorthand.  When you don't and you refuse to acknowledge it, it can be an annoyance.  Especially in a theological conversation.  Bah.

11 days left here, 1 verbatim, 1 night duty.  I've almost finished the annotated bibliography (did I mention I was supposed to have read 1000 pages for CPE?) and then I get to write my final evaluation, and those often end up as 10-12 pages.  Whee.
