tico update
as a whole, i really love the group of costa ricans that came this year. they are so much fun to be around! my costa rican, inge, is really nice...but really quiet. but im kinda hoping as she gets more comfortable here she'll open up more and such.
monday was there first day here. there was a party at julias which was some good times. we danced. and i re-learned how to salsa. yay! ive missed salsaing (yes, i made that word up)
so yesterday there was a welcome breakfast during first hour. then all the poor costa ricans had to sit through a day of school. they were bored outta there minds. but after school we went sledding which was a blast. so funny to watch them in snow because a lot of them have never seen it before. after that everyone went bowling which was some good times. me and inge got lost on the way home...whoops haha.
today was awesome! no school. we went downtown to millenium park to ice skate! i had to hold camelo up the whole time haha. and then he fell and took me down with him. im gonna be sore tomorrow. then denis fell and got a cut on his chin that looked like it hurt a lot. but we all had fun none the less. after that we all walked around millenium park for a bit and then went on over to hard rock cafe for lunch. stephanie, inge, and ari taught me lots of words in spanish. so, i can now say many bad words and insults in spanish. haha yay. the bus ride home rocked. all the guys were singing. it was crazy when they started singing really really fast in spanish. after school they all went shopping. and they really know how to shop haha. inges already talking about calling home and asking for more money.
so yeah, im having fun with this so far. but having all of them here is actually making me miss giovanna alot, as stupid as that sounds.
today, i managed to get a 'boyfriend' and a 'husband' haha.
apparently my spanish is getting really good, or at least thats what my spanish teacher told me after my speech in there. so thats exciting. makes me feel better about studying it in college.
so im insanely looking foward to the next few days-we're gonna be soo busy though! and i think i talked my parents into letting me go clubbing with everyone? lol big breakthrough with them, huh?
ah well i should go get some sleep. goodnight!
