Sammy and Castiel acquire a temporary, apparently hexed pet.
Daschund

Castiel stared at the floor in front of him. “I am unaccustomed to Dean in this form,” he observed. “Does it occur often?”

“Uh,” Sam blinked. “No.”

Castiel noted that the youngest Winchester’s voice was higher than Jimmy Novak’s ears were accustomed to hearing it. This must indicate surprise. He kept looking at the floor.

The small being at which they both stared let out a low, pissed off growl.

“Does this make him angry?”

“I think so,” Sam agreed. The younger Winchester had allowed his jaw to sag, forming a subtle ‘o’ shape with his lips. Castiel thought that this meant he was speechless.

“I think that something has hexed him,” Castiel spoke icily. An unpleasant feeling toward the creature that had caused Dean’s form to change hid in Jimmy Novak’s stomach. “We must restore him to his usual form before - ”

The puppy yelped, and rubbed his right eye with his paw.

A tiny smile licked Sam’s lips without him realising, and maybe a tiny little laugh, too.

Castiel noticed how quickly this was extinguished from Sam’s face when the dog waltzed over to his silver laptop, which had been propped up against his duffel on the floor at the foot of his bed, cocked his leg into the air and...

Dean wagged his tail.

Sam lurched forward instinctively, exasperation painting his face. “Dean...!” he cursed. Dean waddled away from the lap top, tail still wagging in the air.

“I hear some people hit dogs with rolled up newspapers when they do that,” Castiel offered. “Though I do not know why they would wish to hurt them.”

“I think I do,” Sam muttered. He dragged his laptop upwards with the very tips of his fingers, staring at it cautiously. Dean let out a pleased little yelp when a small puddle that had found itself trapped inside the laptop ran off the far back corner and onto Sam’s shoe.

Sam immediately extended his other arm toward the bathroom door and growled, “Out!”

Dean’s doggy instincts must have kicked in, for he planted himself firmly on the ground and looked up his little brother. Sam groaned.
Castiel regarded the laptop nonchalantly as Sam held it out behind him.

“Cas?”

“Oh,” he replied, as though he had suddenly learnt a new human custom. Castiel took the laptop and held it away from himself carefully.
Sam moved forward quickly and scooped Dean up into his arms.

Dean watched the ground as it was pulled away from his feet. He glared up at his brother and snarled in protest. Sam smiled, carried him to the bathroom, dropped him inside and closed the door.

Castiel wondered briefly why he did this. “I should search for the cause of this transformation,” he told Sam matter-of-factly, still holding the laptop warily.

Sam considered this for a moment. “Let’s just leave it for now.”
