it couldn't be more gorgeous out today! i dragged my brother out of his bed at 3pm to go get two-dozen honey barbequed little guys at wings, etc and then we gorged ourselves on them in baker park before going to rita's for italian ice. everyone at the park was working out or doing something athletic and i was busy knocking out a dozen chicken wings. mmmmmm. i'd go running in the park if i thought that i could last for more than five minutes. i might go back in before the sun goes down to take some pictures or something. i wish the carroll creek project was done, cause then i'd go play there.
i still have so much cleaning/unpacking to do before i leave for warped. its insane how much crap i have from middle/high school in my room. i just found a huge box of pictures from middle school, my calculus notebook from 10th grade, and a bunch of old latin worksheets. agricola est in silva. the farmer is in the forest. why did that never seem odd to me? why is a famer in the forest? shouldn't he be in the field?
and what am i supposed to do with all my drawers-worth full of clothes from field hockey and lacrosse? can i donate them to goodwill? is it weird that they all say 'katie' or 'brown' or 'downtown' on them? keep them for sentimental value? if so, where do i put them? drawers and closet are full!
also, does anyone know record and tape traders cd-buying policy? will they promo copies with the notch in the spine, gold stamp on the cover of the liner notes, or with barcode hole-punched out? if not, does anyone want a bunch of cds of varying levels of crap? they're unscratched and most have never really been played or even opened. speaking of music, does anyone know anything about (i think) hans lekman? i heard parts of a couple songs and i really like it but can't seem to find any info on him. he might be from europe or canada because it sounds like he has a little bit of an accent and not in that brandon-reiliy-nightmare-of-you-wanna-be-british kinda way. [rachel, if you don't already know -- and like -- this guy, then i bet you would!]
only eight more days until tour starts. anyone want to go to the keys' game on friday night (the 9th)? it's a double-header but there are fireworks! we can go downtown afterwards to celebrate megan morrisette's 21st... and rumor has it that brad murphy will be in town from california and gracing us all with his presence.
