Brief Summary of the Busiest Week of My Life

Nov 10, 2008 20:16

- Turkey and I were involved in a Swing Dance routine that I wrote. Both of us were amazing, but Turkey and Em were phenomenal. Check out the video on my Facebook (coming soon). We performed for the president (of UMW) and for the huge Latin Dance Congress. It was tremendous.

- Election Day...well, we all know how that went. Yay! I was giving tours all over the place...yippee. I've done 3 Discovery Days now, and I'm pretty exhausted.

- Research Methods class is killing me because my group is totally inept. I am the only one that can write, so you know the story...it's basically just me, doing the work of 6, and getting the credit of 1. Shit.

- The 1940s Dance was on Saturday. The dance was awesome, and half the ticket sales went to the local VFW, but I am having an officer meeting tomorrow to discuss with the officers an issue of embezzlement of ticket sales. Yeah. Give me a medal for dealing with intolerable bullshit. There was also a Discovery Day on Saturday, and it was Elizabeth's 3rd birthday, so you can guess how exhausted I was that night.

- Sunday was the Ha-Ha's for Ta-Ta's: A Comedy Show to Benefit Breast Cancer Awareness, which I coordinated. There were 3 comedians, it was an hour-long show, and we only requested a voluntary donation of $1 at the door, and we made $165 for the same organization that my mom made the calendar for...not too shabby for a chilly Sunday night.

- I'm dealing with way too much Swing Officer bullshit, that I want to blow my brains out. And that's all I'll say about that.

This doesn't even scrape the surface...if anyone wants elaboration on anything, please comment a request, otherwise, it's time I do laundry...

More later...
