The only problem with our earlier T'giving is that on the day after Remembrance Day (hell, after Hallowe'en) the stores are free to bring in xmas crap.
Christmas stuff started showing up in stores before Halloween. Next year, I fully expect the Yule paraphernalia to be stocked beginning on Labor Day. I refuse to acknowledge Christmas until at least the day after Thanksgiving and usually not until Dec. 1.
Yeah, I've given up on the question of when stuff is sold. I was just taken aback by a regular old family having started so early, though I suppose it's really none of my business.
Well, in precisely one week and one day, I'm putting mine up; it goes up on turkey day. (Hey, it's not like I have anything else to do.) And then it'll stay up until January 19, after my relatives have come and gone for their inaugural visit to my house. *cheerily uses appropriate icon JUST FOR YOU*
