Well anyway, thank goodness for the inefficiency of a train system driven by people!
(I used to ride the green line, and stand in front on the way through Boylston Stn., which is all hard turns and a long stare into the dark. There was an accident not far from there a few years ago, one train rearending another, and the passengers came up the emergency stairs and blinking into daylight all over Boylston St.)
