Juts finished watching and the bus bit had my jaw dropped, too. A not-to-be taken seriously episode definitely. I didn't hate it but it had an air of unreality about it the way it always does when it's mostly set on Earth and they're outside the SGC.

Yeah, that pretty commonly doesn't work so well--there are things the writers can get away with in fantasyland that they can't pull off in something that's supposed to be the real world.

No Aris Boch? Sad.

Also, Dr. Lee should have fired the plasma gun thingy to take out the sniper, it was his demo!

A very stupid episode, but I laughed enough in places that it worked for me.

See, that would have been great if Dr. Lee had gotten to be effective for once. Poor Dr. Lee.

The bus. I just... you know, kind of gave away the ep's throw-away status right there. However. Daniel looked good in the museum; loved his coat. And Vala's dress was fab. Um.

Oh! And I adored the look Cam's father gave him after Cam came back to the picnic table. Nice mix of "Son, what have you gotten yourself into?" and, "Way to go."

I can work with throw-away! There were just too many things I had to pretend I didn't notice for me to cope, you know?

Daniel was hot and I lmao at the bus. I mean, seriously, a bus? Hahahahaha! What were they thinking?

He was hot, though I have to admit, his outfit at the library made me giggle. Oh, Daniel. Not that I don't enjoy the tight black t-shirt, but I fear you have overcorrected from the old, plaid-heavy days when you are wearing it to do research.

I kept waiting to find out who was using the bus as kidnapper-foiling murder weapon. The SGC? Competing bounty hunters? Unknown and mysterious yet-to-be-revealed forces?

Perhaps it was actually a spaceship which had to masquerade as a bus because it was the only thing big enough, mobile enough, and ordinary enough not to provoke interest!

Or maybe it was just one of Daniel's Ascended friends doing a little nugding.

Me too! And then they never followed up. Weird.

See, that I would have liked! Was it you or someone else who said they'd expected a second bounty hunter to step out of the bus? That would have totally worked--show that, and then cut to Landry being all "and Dr. Jackson just barely escaped!" Then they would have gotten points for "cheekily over-the-top" instead of losing them for "dumb plotting."
