1) I was pretty thoroughly spoiled for this epiosde.
2) Okay, I still cried at the end. Even though I knew it was coming. Damn you, show!
3) God love him--because I do--but the Doctor is kind of a nitwit, isn't he? "Sure, we can go back and watch your father die! I don't see any potential problem with that at all!" I mean, seriously, what did he expect? Frankly, it's his own damn fault for not giving her a straightforward "please do not create world-eating dragony things by saving your father's life" talk beforehand. Abstinence-only education is not helpful!
4) Yes, the bit with him and baby!Rose was adorable, mainly because of baby!Rose's "OMG!" look. Like she was listening, or something.
5) One thing you've gotta give Mickey, he's a survivor.
6) I'm still not getting any particular objective reasoning about what can change and what can't. We don't seem to be in a "put right what once went wrong" situation (though that could be a fun crossover, albeit a slightly unfair one). I'm terribly curious if there actually is some kind of a system, though I suspect I'm asking too much to want one.
7) Okay, so I cried when Rose was describing to Pete what a great Dad he was, too. Shut up!
8) Christopher Ecclestone is really remarkable. Don't get me wrong, Billie Piper's Rose is also excellent, but Nine, oh. Oddly, I think my favorite bit was him reassuring the couple having the Worst Wedding Day Ever that no, they were completely important--and I believed him, you know?
9) So Time Lords do have families, then. Is it wrong that I'm now picturing people wandering around in a rented pavilion at the park, all "Hey, look, it's The Dentist! Hi, Dentist!" "My God, Stonemason! It's been ages! Depending on how you look at it, anyway..."
10) Seriously. Nitwit.
