(You have to imagine that in a Gollum-like voice. Why, I do not know, but there it is.)

The Pentateuch Gashlycrumb Tinies. I attended a nice northeastern liberal United Methodist church growing up--a place of which I still have many fond memories, and which influenced my morality (if not my lack of faith) in more ways than I realized until quite ( Read more... )

Sam would make... quick of those blue mountains.

Jello SF looks beautiful. and also gives me Godzilla-like urges. i wonder how long a jello city can last. does jello grow mold?

Yeah, that's what my mother said about the apricot. I actually don't like fresh apricots very much--something about the texture--but I liked the taste quite a bit in this. (I even ate a couple of leftover canned apricots and they were good too. So it's clearly a texture issue.)

Is LJ going to keep throwing up that note about my password until I change it? Because that's gonna get old.

Yup. God forbid, someone might crack your pathetic little password and read your friends' protected posts. It would be mass hysteria.

Well, um, actually, there's more to the password-hacking consequences than just reading locked posts.

Not that I have any insider knowledge of LJ-PTB stuff that might be prompting this, but information security in general is something I'm fairly familiar with, and I've just recently seen demos of really nasty stuff that can be done via the 'Net by Bad Guys who can get into other people's user accounts.

Seriously, it is in all of our best interests to use passwords that mix letters, numbers and symbols.

Sigh. Well, you know, they're welcome to lock me out, at which time I will change it. If this turns into something like the password scheme at work I'm going to be very annoyed, though; last time it rejected every completely random collection of letters, numbers, and symbols I could come up with. I had to get the system administrator to force it to accept a password from me.

Too funny. I bought a burgundy wool coat at Nordie's this weekend, on sale.

Apricot tart! Yay for a happy weekend.

Isn't it cool? I think the Bay Bridge (I'm guessing?) was my favorite, though I'm also tickled to see that the artist succumbed to the perfectly natural temptation to create a Jell-O earthquake.
