Hetalia Meet

Dec 20, 2009 18:52

Yesterday was fun stuff (Y)

It wasn't fun getting up at 5.30, but this is what I do to get cheap train tickets
Train down was ok, mostly read The Book Thief, got in 30 mins late and found my sister
We went for a bit of a trek. She randomly wanted to find Radio 1 so we wandered down Great Portland Street, not convinced we did find it though. Found a building that was a BBC building, but I though Radio 1 was it's own building *shrug* oh well
Then we wandered some more and she took me to this lovely little cafe where we had food
At about 11.45 decided we should leave so I could get to Hyde Park for 12. This would have happened if we hadn't started going the wrong way. We lept on a bus that said 'VIA HYDE PARK' on the front, of course, we soon realised that it'd had already been to Hyde Park and was now going in the opposite direction
Didn't matter though, got off, walked a bit and found a bus going the right way this time. I can only have been max 10 mins later
I said to look out for 'strange people in wigs' which we spotted, Hetalians were hidden behind them (though saying it like that implies Hetalians aren't also strange people in wigs, which of course they are xD)

And then I felt bad cause I didn't really say bye to Laura =\
Just sorta got dragged into the group and she wandered off
Oh well
Have said, next time I go to London it will be just to see her, cause I feel mean going for cosplay and just using her xDD

Anyway, now with Hetalia group
Jess clung to me, as promised
Saw Robyn "Oh, fancy seeing you here" (Jess had told me she was going, so I did know) and what a surprise to see who she was clung onto =p
So we wandered round Winter Wonderland all day, twas good
I got me some badges, England and France, from an England there (was Sarmander, I know that, I just don't like saying people's names when I don't know the person xD)

Surprisingly enough, I didn't get all that chilly
My hands did, but gloves mostly saved me, and my feet did, where my England Union Jack socks didn't save me
My shoulders ached too. Bag was had extra clothes/shoes that made it heavy, wouldn't have needed a rucksack if I hadn't taken them. Never needed them either, but I guess I would have missed something if I hadn't taken it

Back to the day, people eventually decided they needed to go, including us
Those of us going to Euston went the same way as Jess + people cause we could
We parted at Oxford Circus though we'd sad goodbye before we got on the tube
For some reason I was put in charge of directing us, like I actually knew where I was going
We obviously got to Euston though. My train was first, so I left and had a pretty boring train journey home, then had to catch another train from Liverpool cause my parent's are lazy and wouldn't pick me up from there
But it did give me a chance to finish The Book Thief (good book)
Got home to see who won Strictly <3333333
And my dad pointed out the French flag on my France badge was the wrong way round, rofl xD
I still love it though =]

So yes, fun day, even if a little chilly
I've ordered Jess, and therefore the others, to come up north next time
See if we can get them to go to the Midlands Expo
TBH, I didn't really speak to anyone else which fails, one day I will know em more
=]

Oh, and despite taking a camera, I took a whole 3 pictures, one of which was for Jess cause her camera stopped working, that one would be here, of Spuk (Spain/UK) and of us

meet up, hetalia, cosplay
