BtVS, The End
And I've finally finished watching it.
Just over 7 weeks ago my brother came home with it and I finished last night
Though, there were two weeks were I didn't watch any, so can I claim it as watching 7 series in 5 1/2 weeks? I think so
I'm also proud of the fact that I watching every single title sequence
Useually I would skip through it, but cause the music is legendary I decided I wouldn't do that for once
Every 144 episodes I at least heard the music =]
I'm rather in love with it to be honest
Joss Whedon is a legend, but I knew that since Firefly
It's strange, before I started watching it I knew 3 things
1) Anthony Head is awesome because he was Giles and Giles was awesome
2) There's something between Buffy and Spike
3) Angel is a spinoff (though what about who knows)
I also had a faint memory of one random moment, but I didn't pick up on it when watching it again
And I have no idea what sort of series I watched. After Angel left, before Giles left and when Spike was around. Can't remember what series that was.
But I presumably watched it quite a bit. I watched it enough at least to know Giles was awesome.
And saying that, I need a character ramble.
A bit about every character? Why not.
Buffy
Cause like, you have to start with her.
She's cool yeah, obv, hasn't made me love Sarah Michelle Gellar though
I did feel uberly sorry for her when everybody turned on her at the end. I believed in her + didn't like a single other person in that room at that moment (and most moments before then)
She is rather kickass.
Xander
I think I fell for him early on, as such that kinda faded a bit by the end
Still awesome though
I was horrified at the whole eye thing *shudder* Poor poor guy
Him and Anya were great together, too bad he left her, but I never disliked him for that for some reason.
Willow
She is cool but I never loved her so much, I don't know why
(Oh, I think before I started watching that I had a memory of Willow being gay + a witch, but I'm not sure anymore)
Her and Tara were well sweet, though I found it slightly funny that after they got together, we never saw them kiss for like 2 series
Because omg, that would have been like horrific on American tv wouldn't it? *rolls eyes*
Dark Willow is quite cool actually, and I did rather love how she went sorta angely when giving the slayers their power. White hair = (Y)
And saying about her hair, did always love that colour. Her hair was really nice in some of the mid series =]
Giles
I have a problem with Giles.
Of course, he's a legend, but only at first =[
I love him for his Britishness and because he's abviously awesome anyway
But after him came back from leaving, he just wasn't the same and I didn't like him anymore
Having a go about Buffy for random reasons, trying to kill Spike, how dare he =[
So I love early Giles, but not later Giles
Angel
He's rather hot, obviously, at one point I almost fell in love.
I have to say, I'm a fan of Angle/Buffy, how could I not be? It's a canon ship that can't really be together, that's like, always my OTP. These I just love together though
I love his jealousness of Riley (who I don't like) and Spike (who I love, and will come to next), he's just an awesome character. It'd be nice to see his series, now sure how likely that is to happen though.
Spike
I uberly love him, more than Angel.
Angel I love because he's hot (and cool otherwise too), but Spike is hot because I love him (because he's totally awesome and uberly cool) and I always think that's a better way to go =]
He is awesome though, he just is.
He was even cool with Dru, even when he was trying to kill Buffy, especially so when he fell in love with her.
I'm a bigger fan of Spike/Buffy than Angel/Buffy =D
I was rather upset when he went boom, but is it just me or does he appear in the last series of Angel? (another reason to watch it)
Other Characters
Dawn - don't like her, never have, never will
Faith - did like her, then didn't when she went crazy but when she came back I decided I did actually like her =]
Tara - she's sweet, didn't want her to die but then I wasn't horribly upset
Riley - bleh, don't like him =[
Oz - he's just amazing, I really thought he might come back briefly for the end (Seth Green is also amazing)
Anya - she is actually quite cool, I felt rather sorry for ehr when Xander left her, I always liked those two together
It was a really good series ending, not disappointing as most are
(SGA: like any other ep, Galactica: no Lee/Kara and a bit random, Firefly: obv Wash's death + no Mal/Inara, FMA: what a poofed ending + film etc. etc.)
It was really fitting, and even though I know where near wanted Spike to die, I still think it was right for him to die (sorta like Harry Potter should have)
