My brother and I are peas in a pod. We are both high-achieving slackers with no clear idea about what we want to do in the future. We're too smart to drop out of life completely, but not smart enough to do whatever we want without working for it. He wanted to go to law school until he worked in a law firm, and I wanted to go to medical school until I took organic chemistry.
So now he's moved out to Missouri and is taking the GREs and I'm here in Florida planning for my second choice in graduate school idea: law school. Ahaha. I am out of my mind, I know. My new plan is to become Toby Ziegler as I am taking a speech writing class as well as a few international relations courses next semester. Also, I lectured somebody on the use of sans-serif font. It happens.
First, though, I have to get through this semester. Which means I have to write a paper that was due three weeks ago (but the deadline is unenforced;) do a lab report on god knows what; memorize the kingdoms, classes, and phylum of a whole bunch of species for a lab practical Monday; and attend Bio lecture one of these days.
So, plans for this weekend:
-Clean the apartment, including disinfecting, vacuuming, and dusting.
-Write that effing paper.
-Lab report. Do it.
-Read the Bio notes for all those days that I haven't gone to lecture. Eeeeeh.
-Write discussion question for Donne & Herbert.
-Catch up on reading for other classes.
Oof.
Mayhaps I will take a break from all of that yickyness to go to Barnes & Nobles to get Watchmen because I need to get on that.
