Out with the old...

So, I've been subbing in a long term classroom at South Heights Elementary in Henderson, and it has really been difficult. I mean, REALLY tough. And today was my last day. I think that the highlight of my last day has to be some of the letters I received from students. I'm going to reproduce the ones that were the funniest and the ones that meant the most to me.

This one is from my man Preston.

"Ms. Darby is nice teacher and I learned so many things and can't pick one. I like as good teacher. You are very sweet and a great teacher. P.S.-- I want you to be my mom. The end."

Then he drew a picture of us as birds. (Preston likes birds.)

This one is from Payton.

"I been learning how to spell better since you have ben her. I aso larned how to be a grate student. I rilly don't want you to leave. You have tout me so much Thes past munts."

That is mostly funny because she credits me with her improvement in spelling. (I wish she wouldn't! :) )

This one was anonymous:

"I have learned to be a better person. You have mad a diffrens in my life. My mom has noticed it, too. I used to make fun of people. You have showed me that you don't have to make fun of people so your friends wil like you you've shown me to accept people for how they are. Thank you Miss Darby."

And then, also anonymous, this one might be my favorite...

"I learned coma rules."
