Now that the awesomeness of Josh Ritter has settled in (and if you haven't seen it, please scroll down now! Do not waste any more of your life not knowing about my encounter with a rock star!), I feel as though it is time to post about the awesomeness of my new apartment. This will be a picture-heavy post.
Welcome to my apartment! Come in, come in! I'm so glad to have visitors. Let me show you around. Of course, the first thing you will see is the stairs leading up to my apartment.
The black line on your right is a picture of the Dallas Music store in Downtown Evansville-- Maggie took it for me. Also hanging up (though you cannot see it) is the set list from the Josh Ritter concert. Here is where I swoon a little. To your left there is the spindle-y rail that separates my apartment from the stairs.
Next! You will see my living room!
Wow, you say? I agree! It is quite beautiful and spacious. If you look really hard, on your right, you can see the bar that leads into my kitchen. How classy, I know!
Next, I would like to show off my TV and TV area.
You may see a collection of posters on the floor there-- fear not! Billy Joel and Josh Ritter will be hanging up as soon as I get my furniture in here. (Sidenote: Rob and Tiffany, because I guess I am hella lucky, will be furnishing my living room. Which is the coolest thing ever. It might even trump the Josh Ritter setlist (though not the kiss).) Underneath the gray blanket is actually a beautiful cedar chest, but I've put the blanket on it for now for a number of reasons. 1.) It gives the blanket a place to be, 2.) I can sit on it without feeling guilty. Next! You will see the wall of Paste and the corner of my living room.
(Paste is my favorite magazine, and on the door, I've hung a couple of their cooler covers. Hopefully they will continue to impress me, and I will continue to have a Paste shrine. It's their call.)
Next! I HAVE A BALCONY. And you can see that balcony.
And if you have heard me talk about this apartment at all, you know that it has a red wall. I am so excited about this red wall that it might have been the selling point on the apartment. I give you...the red wall!
From the red wall, it is an easy 45 degree turn to see into my lovely kitchen. Note the oak cabinet finish and, if you can, the red microwave to the right of the photograph.
Next! To the bathroom. I must warn you, it's a little messy, because I was getting ready at the time these photos were taken. But who cares! It's my bathroom! And it's cool with me if it's a little messy. :)
Onward to the bedroom! I will admit, the color is a little intense, but...so am I. And I like intense. SO! Without further adieu!
The lamp is from Corinna, and the bedroom suite is borrowed from Maggie. Everyone in my life rocks, also.
Next! My CLOSET!
And finally, part of my chest of drawers, mirror, and bedroom window (which is on the right.)
Thank you again for stopping by! Hope you'll be back soon (and bringing Oreos!). :)
Love,
Katie
