(no subject)
All right! I'm back with a quick update. This week has been INSANE. Things exploded. Monday morning, I interviewed with Henderson County Schools Systems-- and I'm now employed as a substitute teacher! I'll be starting there next week. I'm excited, but a little nervous-- and hey, it's in Kentucky. There's so much to be nervous about! (haha). Other than that, I've been at the theatre a lot, and actually, I had an audition on Tuesday for Smokey Joe's Cafe-- which is a musical revue (no acting, all singing) and I got a callback!! Which is awesome. I didn't make the show, but that's fine-- haha, actually, it's probably going to save me a lot of stress. BUT! I made the callback. Which, for some silly reason, seems to be the best possible scenario for right now. I feel reaffirmed, I was onstage for a couple of hours, and now I don't have to sign away my life. :)
All of that stuff is pretty awesome. I think the craziest part of this week is that it's not over yet. Tonight, I have a date. So we'll see how that goes. I'm pretty excited, but I'm a little nervous. Hahaha, just like everything else in my life right now. Other than that, things are just plain good. Rob is back in town, I've been getting to spend time with my friends, and hopefully, Courtney and I are going to win Garth Brooks tickets (and then Garth will spot me in the crowd, and he will proclaim his undying love to me, and he'll pull me up onstage to sing "Shameless", and then he'll propose-- and it will rain, and then together, we will sing something beautiful, like "The Dance" or "Tomorrow Never Knows"-- OH NO WE WON'T WE WILL SING "Unanswered Prayers" ((because obviously, he prayed that he would meet me long ago, and he didn't, but now it's the perfect time because I'm old enough for him now, etc.)). And then we will get married. And I won't have to sub, haha... :) And then we will go on our honeymoon and sing "Two Pina Coladas" and laugh about how I am only recently old enough to drink said beverage...) I'm sorry, what was I talking about?
So, shortlist: Next entry will have pictures of me running the box office; Maggie and me at Hacienda (where her boyfriend told the waitstaff it was my birthday and then they all gave me a sombrero and sang...and yes, I will get him back. I don't know when or how, but I WILL get him back); and potentially first day of work pictures. Also, I'll be able to say things like, "I've taught a class!" It will be really exciting. Hope everyone else is doing well-- I'm off to finish grad school apps (bleh).
