Happy 4th of July all...
So it is the 4th of July, Independence Day... I find myself today thinking about all of those close to me that are out of the country today, and I miss them all :(
I woke up missing Alex more than I have in a while. He was supposed to be home in time to watch the fireworks... But, nothing is ever certain in the military, so he is still in Iraq. It has been over three weeks since I've heard from him. I try not to think about that too much... Andrea is in Italy. I know that she is having fun, and this is an opportunity of a lifetime for her, but I still miss her. And Kendon.... I feel horrible because I haven't written him in so long. He is in South Korea... I think I will write him a letter today.
But, today, in feeling all bad because those three are so far away, I am also thankful for the friends I have here. I don't want to complain too much about what I don't have :) I've met so many great friends since moving down to Florida. I don't really want to gush too much, but to all of my friends, thanks for making me so happy to have moved down here! And also, to my friends back in Michigan, I miss you guys and girlies, and I am coming home July 26-30th, and August 20-28th. Anyway, I know this has been an odd post for me, but I am in one of those moods...
