In Saaan Fraaancisco...

So my trip to San Francisco/the Bay area has been good. We got in on Saturday afternoon-ish and did a lot of San Francisco-y stuff. I went to Pier 39 which is a super touristy, yet still fun, place to go along the water. I saw my cousin Arianna whom I haven't seen in about 8 years. I drove by my gramma's old place near Union Street and got a little misty eyed. Went to Chinatown. Basically just hung out with the fam. I babysat the kids a lot. On Wednesday drove down to Stanford and walked around and then we headed down to see Dick and Wendy (Wendy is one of my mom's best friends from way back), who are technically my godparents but don't really act like it. They're pretty cool folks and have an awesome backyard at their place in Los Altos. On Thursday Brett and Christine went on a little mini vacation and so I took care of the kids for about 36 hours while they were gone. Overall it went pretty smoothly, though once Brett and Christine came back I didn't want to have anything to do with taking care of the kids. I was pretty exhausted...
Today we went to the Palo Alto art fair and walked around. I actually met an artist that used to have his artwork in the gallery. Pretty crazy. We leave tomorrow to head back to New York, where Rori is picking me up and then Monday we're heading up to Cornell to see our friend Alison (who was Rori's roommate in London). We actually might see Ingrid and Chapin there too.
Hope everyone is making/has made it back to school safe and sound. Truthfully I'm itching to get back to Boston and get back into the school routine again.
