What? A post? It's true! Have some fics I liked in Yuletide: these are the ones I liked enough to bookmark, not that I'm saying they're the best ones around or anything, they're just the ones that caught my attention enough.

Alice has long known that she only has respect for things she can't manipulate; very few people fall into this category, which is mostly populated by constellations and the elusive wavelengths of invisible light.
Alice backstory, how she came to be, up to where she meets John. ♥
So hard done by :: Sirens, Ashley/Rachid
One of the great TV crimes of 2011 was Sirens not getting a second series. Shame on you, Channel 4! I'm a Stuart/Ash girl mostly (om nom nom bffs in love) but I can't turn down a good bit of Ashley/Rachid, and this is definitely a good bit. (If you didn't watch Sirens then you should do that now - it's only 6 episodes and you won't regret it.)
Save our Sons :: Attack the Block
I nearly didn't read the Attack the Block fic on my first go through but I'm really glad I did. This is a fic from Tia's POV, it's not only the boys who were fighting that night. "Let Moses think what he wants. Let Moses think that it's only the boys who suffer, when its women who bear the weight of it, day after day, year after year. Yeah, it might be the black boys who are dying, but who the hell does he think does the mourning? The buying flowers and the crying and the trying-to-rememeber-dying-to-forget kind of dancing. But girls are smarter. Girls are quicker. Let the government send what they want; girls just ain't gonna die as easy."

Moses, post film, trying to get his story heard and believed.
All you know (all you need to know) :: Boy Meets World, Shawn/Cory/Topanga
Cory was always going to marry Topanga Lawrence. Cory was always going to know Shawn Hunter. Cory was always going to love them both.
So, I always look forward to BMW fic come Yuletide, but this year I have been rewatching the whole glorious opus (I am now on the last season, woe.) so it was particularly exciting. They are such an OT3, it's amazing. Cory calls him Shawnie and the boys are practically married and Cory and Topanga are practically married and Shawn and Topanga both love Cory best. This story is of my heart.
Triolisme :: Downton Abbey, Sybil/Branson/Gwen
When Sybil and Branson leave for Ireland, they do not go alone. This is what happens, after.
So, this was written for sunsetmog and for a large part it is basically the fic we would email at each other every Monday after watching Downton. It's a slow build up to a glorious OT3 denouement and I loved it.
You cannot conquer time :: Weekend
So Weekend was a film I really enjoyed, and you should all try to see it, but there is no way to talk about this story without spoiling the end of the film so I won't, just go read it if you've seen the film or if you don't care if you know how it ends up (not details, just the general event at the end.) Unfortunately the author is under the impression the film happened in London, rather than Nottingham, but it doesn't matter too much.
