Last Saturday I went to
sunsetmog's (gorgeous) flat, ostensibly to be introduced to the Fast and Furious movies. We watched 1, the short film of pining across America at the beginning of 2, and 4 and I did enjoy their epic love, but what I've really taken away from the weekend (literally, actually, I stole season 1) is what we watched next: Veronica Mars. I had never watched this before for some reason, and I had it in my head that she was a wily girl reporter, but it's so much better than that: she is a wily girl detective. \o/ I have now watched 3 discs of season 1 and would currently be watching disc 4, but Liss has been off work today and STOLE the DVDs from the living room and was part way through disc 4 when I got home, so I have to wait for her to finish. >:( I want my V.Mars fix!
Another thing I'm late to the party on, but not quite as late, is Community. I love those crazy kids! I need to make time to read fic, but I'm in a bit of a non-fic phase at the moment. If anyone has any recs, though, I'm open to them. :D? :D?
This week I am mainly about the London Book Fair, which is super interesting, lots of great seminars (although there is the same fixation on getting boys to read as there always is. *sigh*) and I have many catalogues to go through and buy from. Last day of that tomorrow (with talk of the fair for me: "School Libraries: Who Needs Them?" Spoiler: Everybody.) and then we are off to see Sucker Punch (I am keeping an open mind on that one). Thursday is my big day out in London with the older Miss King. She is apparently very excited for her grown up trip out with Auntie Katie. I am obviously the coolest aunt. Saturday, my crazy, pregnant little sister is coming down to visit on the overnight coach, going back on Sunday morning, just so she can come to my party. She is the best sister. I have very little idea who is actually coming to the party so it'll all be a nice surprise on the night.
And that is me! Obviously updating more is not happening really. I'm just not cut out for it. Maybe it's because I'm young for trees now and I'm getting forgetful in my old age. *g*
