(no subject)
Hello livejournal! How was your holiday season? I had masses of fun at the parental abode, admiring their new camper and their new kitchen (it is beautiful *__*) and playing Soul Calibur 4 with my bro in law. We kicked ass at that game. It was the first time in ages and ages we'd all been together so that was extra nice. And thank you for my presents and cards, people! I loved them all and took a "woo presents" picture with my new camera (also a present), but have (as usual) so far failed to get the picture off my camera and onto anywhere useful. We got to France with no real trouble though (except for a slight delay for me because one of the water tanks on the plane was frozen) and then they closed all the airports behind us! SO lucky it happened that way round. Also, yesterday I received a Christmas letter and ficlet from mwestbelle - Frank and Bob and puppies oh my! I loff it. Thank you! <3
New Year's Eve was fun. I went to saffronra's birthday party in the afternoon (om nom nom buffet food) and then to yan_tan_tether's steampunk vs cyberpunk party in the evening, to which I wore a tiny top hat! I think saturnalia took a picture of me, but it's probably awful. I do not photograph well. :( It was epic fun though, and the night bus home at 4am didn't take as long as usual - partly in thanks to the lovely driver of the N10 who saw me pelting down a street in Putney and waited at the stop for me to get to him. I ♥ nice bus drivers.
The most exciting thing I did on NYE though was I got myself an iPhone! I am hilariously in love with it and have downloaded a load of probably useless (mostly free) apps. It's so shiny! And will be more so when the purple case I have ordered for it arrives. People with iPhones, tell me your must-have apps! One of the first things I downloaded for it was Bejewelled 2, which may have been a tactical error as I have spent actual hours playing it. I have also put all the TAI TV and CobraCam episodes on there so hopefully I'll finally get around to catching up on all that.
Laura and I went to see Sherlock Holmes on Wednesday. It is stupid and ridiculous and I LOVED it. That is basically all I have to say about that.
In closing, adelate just posted this, and I rly like it! I have become fond of mashups in recent weeks.
