People keep asking me if my journey to work was dreadful and I feel almost guilty telling them that no, it really wasn't, in fact it took barely any longer than usual. Take that, tube strike! I have, however, decided to walk to the Barbican tonight as it is only 4 miles away and the walk is basically a long straight line. I have a map and some directions just in case, though - I'm quite good at getting lost. Only annoying part of that is that it will cut 60-90 minutes off my
bandombigbang reading time. >:( I have my priorities.
I'm looking forward to Bats, though: Hoards of crazed bloodsucking bats have escaped a laboratory and are wreaking havoc on the small town of Gallup, Texas.
Government zoologist, the top bat expert Dr Sheila Casper (Dina Meyer) and her anodyne sidekick played by ‘Leon’ (so good, he’s uni-monikered), are dispatched to help combat these genetically mutated flying fiends.
They are aided and abetted by Local Sheriff (Lou Diamond Phillips) and head off on a mission which sees them wading through piles of bat excrement, an experience the audience of the film can somewhat relate to.
Will they thwart the dastardly plan of an evil bat-engineering scientist in time?
Plus, bonus Steve Punt, which is never a bad thing.
