I thought it was about time to update
I might be buying a car tomorrow. Yup, that's right. I'm becoming an adult or something. I compared it to jumping off a cliff: once I do it, there's no turning back and I'm like an adult. It's a 2004 Saturn Ion. I'll let everyone know how it turns out. (With the way I've been updating, I'll let you know eventually)
I'm working for Collin County Community College in their Foundation Department. It's a really great job, and I'm learning a lot about fund raising. I really like it, but the only problem is that it's temporary and the only continuation of the job is part time, and seeing as I'm about to buy a car, I really need a full time job. I also need health insurance, which I wouldn't be getting with a part time job. So I'm looking into other fund raising jobs and maybe even being a technical writer. I'm still looking into the legal field as well as a legal assistant. We'll see how this goes.
Matt sent me a ring. Don't freak out-we're no where near being engaged. It's just a ring. But when I did open the box, I was all, "HOLY CRAP! What exactly does this mean?!?" But he told me it's just a ring. It has alexandrite, which apparently is my birthstone, and two diamonds. Yeah... I know what every single girl out there reading this is thinking. And he met my mom. They had lunch together...for four hours! Both parties are telling me that it went good. My mom likes him and he likes my mom. Next step: meeting my dad. My dad has said that from what he has heard of Matt, he already likes him. But lately the distance has been rough on both of us. But we'll make it.
