This is just something that needs to be on here- out of pure hilarity.
The past week I've been babysitting an old decrepit iguana named Shana. Named after an old roomate of Tommy and Evan's. Anyway, I'm not great with animals because I'm usually quite terrified they'll bite me, this is what came from growing up with only tutrles, a rabbit, and mice as pets, never a cat or dog (that was promised to me as a consolation for moving overseas by the way). Luckily Shana doesn't bite, in fact when you touch her head to pet her scaliness she just tries to dodge it and sticks out her tongue.
Not very frightening.
To get to my point, yes she's old and one of her legs doesn't work too well therefore at least once a day somehow she falls over on her side/back. She flails her arms for literally less than 20 seconds. Then quite calmly and carefully she lays her hands/claws on her chest and chills. Who knows what she does, basically just lies there until sone person comes by sees this and picks her up until the next time she does it.
I've never seen anything quite like it. One of those things you must see to recognize the true humor - I love it,sad as it is.
So I look in her cage a few days ago, realized she had fallen over, yet funny enough I hadn't checked up on her all day, so she could have been lying like that allllllll the livelong day.
On another note, I did an experiment and put Squishy Clarence Squeakers Culligan III (my box turtle) together to play with Shana.
They don't play, in fact they barely acknowledge one another. They stand still for several minutes a little nervous, keeping an eye on the other. Then they'll move to do their own thing, yet at times they'll step on each other, almost like the other doesn't exist - odd eh?
OK, that's enough, I just had to put that out there, you can throw it back if you like. Goodnight all.
