I determined long ago that 4am is Gainesville's "dead time"; I can drive several blocks down the thoroughfare and only see one or two cars. Now I would argue that most major city's dead time lies somewhere in the 3am range; after all, the bars have been closed for an entire hour! Smaller cities, well... They go dead somewhere around 10pm. Take a drive down to Williston at that time of night and there's not much to see.
The last week of school is a little different, though. Either the kids are up late studying or partying--I'm not sure which. At any rate, when I left my apartment complex at 4am for some food, there was still a fair amount of traffic, not to mention the fact that there was a group of 10 or so guys playing basketball in the courts by the complex. Now I dunno about you, but I don't look up at 4am and think, "Gee, I could really use some physical exertion right now." Well, unless it's... Wait, no.
Oh yes, exam time! Gonna kick some ass, right?

Okay, maybe.
