I got Emma kitty in September, M got Elinor-kitty a couple of years ago, but brought her here when she moved in in January. So, the kitties have been living together for almost six months. We did everything you're supposed to, kept them apart for like two weeks, did a few slow introductions, gave them some time together, the works.
And yet, periodically, sometimes once a week, sometimes four or five times a day, they start mauling each other. Like, jumping and biting. It's getting super annoying, and not really sure if anyone's getting hurt (it sounds like they're beating each other all to hell.)
Anyone have advice for fighting kitties? I'd really like to avoid the twice-daily freakouts that keep happening, before someone gets hurt or before I start locking the cats in the closet. I wish they were just playing, but the biting, and the horrific sounds coming from them convince me otherwise. It doesn't help that my cat is very dominant, and M's cat is...submissive, but doesn't know when to just walk away, and has to make a big stink whenever Emma's even near her, which sets Emma off.
