Poor little neglected LJ...

Nov 25, 2009 00:33

After a two week period of lulling me into false security, the semester has started up round two of insanity. And on top of that, I am very sleepy; So you all get lists again [one of these days I will write a real paragraphed entry, I swear].

-At home for break now. Thank God.
-Am actually eagerly anticipating family activities on thanksgiving.
-Am very very and might I say very, broke.
-Must scheme plans to increase checking balance from $8.
-My lips hurt like hell because they are dry enough to start splitting.
-I got to ride all the way home with a kitty on my lap.
-I did not fail last week's history test that I guessed on.
-I got my first C on a test in a class I actually halfway care about, but am so relieved that it isn't the F I expected that I can't even get properly upset.
-Even my lists are losing their coherence.

The To-Do list:
-read sources for Chaucer paper
-write 15 page Chaucer paper in time to use it for grad school writing sample.
-Write methods of lit study paper.
-write final draft of AmLit paper.
-Write 15 page history paper.
-Read three chapters from history text and be prepared to discuss.
-Do more grad school things.
-anticipate the other history paper [in the same class as the 15 pager].
-Do web postings for AmLit.

I am making use of the tasks feature on my phone now. It's good to have that list following me everywhere I go, to remind me that I should not be going wherever it is, and should, in fact, be at home writing something. For the immediate weekend, if I can read some of my sources, and work on the AmLit paper, it will have been a success. The next month looks too hellish for me to sacrifice my entire break, all 3 days of it, to homework.
